Delete your 5 Star Truck Sales app account

5 Star Truck Sales, Inc. (“we”) runs the 5 Star Truck Sales app and its accounts. You can ask us to delete your app account at any time and, from version 3.0, delete it yourself in the app.

In the app

In version 3.0 and later:

1. Open the 5 Star Truck Sales app and tap Account.
2. Tap Delete account, under Sign out.
3. Tap Delete my account, then sign in again with Google or Apple to confirm.

Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out.

Versions before 3.0 can’t delete an account in the app: update to 3.0, or ask us as described below.

Without the app

Email [email protected] from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my app account”. If you hid your email with Sign in with Apple, say so, and we’ll confirm through the address Apple gave us. You can also call 616-600-2682, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. We confirm the request comes from you, delete the account within 30 calendar days, and tell you when it is done.

What we delete

• Your app account: your app user ID, name, email address and profile photo link
• Your favorite trucks and trailers
• Your saved searches
• Your notification choices, and the notification records for your devices
• When you delete in the app, the app’s access to your Apple ID or Google account. After a request by email or phone, you can remove the app yourself in your Apple ID or Google account settings.

What we keep, and why

• Credit applications and documents you sent through our website or the app’s Finance tab, and records of any purchase or financing. They are not part of your app account, so deleting the account does not delete them. We keep them as long as we need them for your purchase or financing, our business records and the law. To ask about them, contact us.
• Emails, calls and texts with our team, which we keep as business records.
• If the app added your email address to our mailing list, we stop emailing it, and Mailchimp, which runs the list for us, keeps the address in an archive.

Answers you typed into the credit application but didn’t send are saved on your phone, not sent to us. Your Social Security numbers, date of birth, EIN and signature aren’t saved at all, and documents you add are deleted from the phone when you send the application or leave it. In version 3.0, the app also clears saved answers when you sign out or delete your account in the app, and when another account opens the application. Uninstalling the app removes them from the phone.

Uninstalling the app or signing out does not delete your account.
